The International Mesothelioma Interest Group (IMIG) is meeting in Amsterdam 25th -27th September 2008.  This meeting will include a dedicated day on Surgery for Mesothelioma.  Whether you want to come only to the EACTS sessions or attend the whole meeting this promises to be an outstanding educational and scientific experience, in the beautiful and pace setting European city of Amsterdam.

There will be three surgical sessions, back to back, on Friday 26th September, the centre point of the three day meeting.

1. A plenary session updates you on the three trials of surgery, MARS, MesoVATS and the EORTC study, and the prospects of modifying survival in mesothelioma.

2. The role of the surgeon in diagnosis, management and symptom control.

3. In the third session we deal with challenges to the intentions of surgery, the medico-legal environment, the ethics of trials and what might the future hold in trail design.
