International Cooperation Committee is repeating a two and a half day teaching course for cardio-thoracic surgeons, centred on advanced surgical techniques in the field of adult cardiac surgery. The course consists of a series of lectures by invited experts addressing various surgical conditions; and direct video transmissions of their surgical procedures. Participants will be able to involve the faculty in direct discussions following the presentations and surgeries. Main topics are:
- Aortic valve reconstruction
- Mitral valve reconstruction
- Off-Pump coronary bypass grafting
- Arterial revascularization
- Surgery of the descending thoracic aorta
- Aortic arch surgery
- Left ventricular volume reduction
- Surgícal treatment of atrial fibrillation
- Grown-up congenital heart disease
This course is oriented towards cardiac surgeons at an advanced level of training, and at the experienced surgeons wishing to learn more from acknowledged experts.
