GENERAL INFORMATION - tba

International Cooperation Committee is repeating a two and a half day teaching course for cardio-thoracic surgeons, centred on advanced surgical techniques in the field of adult cardiac surgery. The course consists of a series of lectures by invited experts addressing various surgical conditions; and direct video transmissions of their surgical procedures. Participants will be able to involve the faculty in direct discussions following the presentations and surgeries. Main topics are:

  • Aortic valve reconstruction
  • Mitral valve reconstruction
  • Off-Pump coronary bypass grafting
  • Arterial revascularization
  • Surgery of the descending thoracic aorta
  • Aortic arch surgery
  • Left ventricular volume reduction
  • Surgícal treatment of atrial fibrillation
  • Grown-up congenital heart disease

This course is oriented towards cardiac surgeons at an advanced level of training, and at the experienced surgeons wishing to learn more from acknowledged experts.
